Healing Helpers

In my own healing journey, I’ve found some visualization practices helpful.
I am not a “Healer”, please check the Disclaimer below.*

As you know, stress makes the healing process more difficult. Stress causes the release of adrenaline and cortisol which raise the blood pressure, increase heart rate and suppress the immune system.  These same systems are under the control of our autonomic nervous system. The downside of this is seen in those suffering from PTSD. Recalling traumatic events can trigger the same autonomic reaction as experiencing that traumatic event the first time. We can turn this to our advantage. By creating a richly detailed series of visualizations, you can reduce your stress and boost your immune system. When we are wounded or ill, often it feels like we have little control over our lives. That may be true for our external world, but our internal world is ours to shape as we see fit.

The visualizations I present build on one another and have some overlap. It is difficult to try to do the visualizations while reading how to do the visualizations. In the beginning, it might be helpful if you read the directions first then have a friend lead you through the process. After the first time, it will be easy to do it on your own. It takes time to create a detailed visualization, but with repetition, the process goes faster and more detailed. All my suggestions are just a starting points. You make them your own.

Anchoring your visualizations: It’s not essential but helpful to connect your visualizations to as many senses as out can, sight, sound and touch. Pick what works for you.
Sight: a drawing, painting, sculpture or any visually striking object that you or someone else has made.
Sound: music, bubbling fountain or absolute silence.
Touch: a small stone or crystal, anything you can hold and put in your pocket.
The efficacy of these things is not the objects themselves but the memories these objects evoke. Keep it simple.

Here are the steps we’ll be traveling
1) Find your Safe Place – in both the external world and your inner world
2) Breathe!
3) Clear the emotional and mental noise – Clearing (Net Casting)
4) Download and activate the Blueprint,  the perfect blueprint for your mind, body and emotions.
5) Begin a visualization for a Specific Healing.

Remember, what I present here are “seeds”  for you to plant, water and shape to make your own. Grow and add to the visualizations each time you take a healing journey.
